I went to Wembley today to see FA Trophy final between Kidderminster and Stevenage. Stevenage won a good game 3 - 2 after being 2 down at half time. Mark Stimpson (ex Pompey) must of given his team a right old going over at half time for them to come out and win. The winner was scored in the 88th minute. I though that more people would of been there as anyone could buy tickets.

The inside of the stadium is very good with lots of leg room at each seat and good sight lines. Not much standing up in the lower sections, I was in the top seats.

Outside its a bit different, I think. Gone are all the berger vans and souvenir stalls on the roads leading to the ground, only two stalls selling programmes in Wembley way plus a few un official stalls selling hats scarves etc. There were only a few official stalls selling food, the idea being to get you inside and buy food from the catering outlets inside. There are not many loos outside the stadium, the queue for the ladies being very long. It also looked a bit bland on the outside walls, mind you it was an overcast day. The statue of Bobby Moore was very good.

Inside on the concourses where i was were very busy and not a lot of room to move about. The prices of the food were a bit over the top. Pies £4.50, hot dogs £4, Pizza £4, tea £1.70 coffee £1.80. My advice, eat before you go in. AS the section that i was in was only half full, it will be even more packed when it is full.  I think that they should of made them a bit wider and given the fans more room. Not a lot of places to put your food and drinks once you have got them.

All the transport links around the stadium have been improved, with all three stations serving the stadium being made larger.  I drove to the stadium if only to see what the parking was like. My advice, don't drive, take the train from Marylebone to Wembley Complex station. Bit of a wait after but they kept the crowd moving. Off street parking has been made permit parking only for a good few miles in all directions. Send me £10 and i'll tell you where i parked free and only a 20 minute walk.

It will be interesting next week at the FA Cup Final what its like then and in June when England play their first game at the Stadium.

The arch is not as good as the twin towers. You have to go back a long way to get all the arch in a photo.
